Megan Moroney’s highly anticipated third major-label studio album, Cloud 9, arrived on Friday, Feb. 20, 2026. The release follows a meteoric rise for the Georgia native, whose sophomore effort, Am I Okay?, reached a career-high Billboard 200 debut at No. 9 last year.
Cloud 9 finds Moroney leaning into her trademark sharp, plainspoken storytelling. The 15-track collection explores the complexities of love, success, and the “messy in-between” of young adulthood. Highlights include “Liars & Tigers & Bears,” where The album marks a continued collaboration with producers Kristian Bush and Luke Laird, she addresses the pressures of the music industry, and the tender “Beautiful Things,” which offers hard-earned wisdom on preserving joy. Tracks like “Who Hurt You?” and “6 Months Later” showcase a shift in perspective, with Moroney writing from a foundation of newfound self-respect.
blending traditional country roots with polished pop and acoustic textures. The project also features a deep bench of writers, including Jessi Alexander, Jessie Jo Dillon, ERNEST, and Amy Allen.
To celebrate the launch, Moroney is currently in the midst of her “9 Cities. 9 Days.” fan-focused tour. After kicking off in New York City on Friday, she appears in Richmond, Virginia, today for an intimate performance and fan meet-up as the Cloud 9 era officially takes flight.
