A major fundraising night tied to the Academy Awards delivered another big result in West Hollywood. Organizers said Elton John’s annual Oscar viewing party raised $10.6 million for the Elton John AIDS Foundation, adding to one of the entertainment world’s most established charity events.
The foundation said the evening combined a cocktail reception, dinner, live auction, and a featured performance by Lola Young. Guests also gathered to watch the Oscars, keeping the event’s usual mix of Hollywood glamour and philanthropy at the center of the night.
The party drew a wide range of high-profile attendees from music, film, fashion, and television. Familiar names at the event included Dua Lipa, Adam Lambert, Melissa McCarthy, Donatella Versace, and Keke Palmer, among others.
The fundraiser has become a regular part of Oscar night and continues to support the foundation’s work on HIV prevention, treatment, and care. With this year’s total included, the event has now helped generate more than $125 million over time for the foundation’s efforts to help end AIDS.
