Empress Of has released a new song called Dream House, a track shaped by a deeply personal chapter in Lorely Rodriguez’s life. The release arrives after her family home was destroyed in the 2025 California wildfires, giving the song a clear emotional weight without turning away from hope.

In a statement shared with the release, Rodriguez said she left for Norway after the fire and found the experience unsettling and lonely. During that period, she recorded a small piano voice memo built around the line I wanna build a dream for you. That early idea became the starting point for Dream House and helped guide the song into something larger.

The new single adds another entry to a busy stretch for Empress Of. Her album For Your Consideration arrived in 2024, and she followed it with the standalone track Blasting Through the Speakers in 2025. Dream House now opens a new moment in her catalog, tying personal recovery to the creative process in a direct and understated way.
