Harry Styles paid tribute to his late One Direction bandmate Liam Payne during a concert at Madison Square Garden in New York on October 16, 2026.
The singer marked the second anniversary of Payne’s death by performing an unreleased song titled What Enough, which he told the audience he had written for his friend approximately two years earlier.
Before introducing the song, Styles reflected on the friendships and relationships that helped shape his career. He acknowledged the people who supported him throughout his journey and spoke about losing someone important in his life.
Styles also encouraged concertgoers to look after one another and remind their loved ones how much they mean to them.
Payne died on October 16, 2024, at age 31, following a fall from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The performance was part of Styles’ 30-show residency at Madison Square Garden during his Together, Together Tour.
The tribute added a personal moment to the concert, bringing attention to the friendship Styles and Payne shared during their years in One Direction.
