Anjimile has announced a new album titled You’re Free to Go, set for release on March 13, 2026, via 4AD. The project follows their 2023 release The King and continues a period of steady output for the Boston-based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.
Along with the album news, Anjimile has shared a new song, Like You Really Mean It. The track arrives with an accompanying video set in a roller rink, leaning into movement and physical closeness rather than narrative. The song itself is direct and restrained, centered on desire and the small emotional risks that come with asking for affection.
The album was produced by Brad Cook, whose recent work spans indie rock and folk-driven projects. According to Anjimile, the new material reflects personal moments and everyday intimacy rather than larger conceptual themes.
You’re Free to Go includes twelve tracks in total. The record continues the direction introduced on The King, keeping the songwriting personal and grounded while refining its sound.
