Olivia Rodrigo has unveiled her third studio album, with a social media announcement confirming that You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love will arrive on June 12. The reveal also introduced the album artwork, marking the official start of her next release cycle.
In the announcement, Rodrigo shared that she feels proud of the record and eager for listeners to hear it. The project reunites her with producer Dan Nigro, who also worked with her on Sour and Guts, continuing a creative partnership that has shaped her sound from the beginning.
The new album follows Guts, which came out in 2023 and helped cement Rodrigo’s place as one of pop’s biggest young voices. This time, the title points toward a more romantic theme, while still keeping the emotional tension that has defined much of her songwriting.
Even with a softer, love-centered framing, the new era appears to hold onto the mix of vulnerability, heartache, and sharp self-awareness that listeners have come to expect from her music.
