Generations X and Z would spend around $6,000 dollars to save their fur babies, a survey of 2,000 employed cat and dog owners found. Pets are officially a member of the family according to young adults: 48% of Gen Zers see no difference between a pet and an actual human child. The Talker Research survey done on behalf of Vetster also found that Gen Zers spend twice as much as boomers on their pets monthly ($216.20 and $134, respectively). “If given the opportunity, 58% of all respondents would love to bring their pet on vacation with them and 37% would like to bring them to work or their job,” CEO Mark Bordo said.
