A new study reveals that vaping may be a more successful method for helping individuals quit smoking compared to traditional nicotine replacement therapies. Researchers found that after six months, the smoking abstinence rates were three times higher among participants using flavored nicotine-laced vape devices than those using nicotine gum or lozenges. The study involved over 1,000 Australians who were randomly assigned to either vaping or nicotine replacement. While the results show promise for vaping as a smoking cessation tool, researchers caution that more long-term studies are needed to fully understand the health implications of using vape devices.
